The Hawley Cottage
at Manomet
Welcome to the Hawley Cottage at Manomet, a Victorian era summer cottage built by William Hawley in 1898. Hawley purchased land (known as The Hawley Tract) in Manomet and built summer cottages for the well-to-do of New England. You can still find a street named in his honor, Hawley Avenue, just around the corner from the cottage.
The Hawley cottage has been in the family for over 125 years. We have maintained it as much as possible as a rustic summer cottage for family, friends, and guests. Not many of its kind survive as true summer cottages.
We hope you enjoy your experience, and create your own cottage family history during your stay(s).
